Customer Service



Ordering Online

Submit your order securely to us via this web site. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover.  Financial aid cannot be used for online orders.   You can  choose to have your books sent to you or picked up  in the store .  Orders placed after 2pm on Fridays or on Saturdays and Sundays will not be processed until the following Monday.  As per your specifications, we will either ship the books to you on Monday morning or you may pick up your order in the store Monday morning after 9am.  For all orders placed during the week please allow 4 business hours after placing the order for pick-up. By ordering on this web site, you acknowledge that we elect to substitute new titles for used books when they are not available. Your order total will then be altered to reflect the price of new books. Prices are subject to change, and the adjusted total may not be reflected on the web site. Your official receipt will come from our register or on the packing slip that is shipped with your order.

If your credit card is declined we will notify you and then the books will be re-shelved.  You will have to re-submit your order.

Ordering By Phone

If you would like to call in your order using a credit card--our staff would love to assist you.  Please call 815-825-9445.  At times we may be unable to answer the phone so please leave a number where you may be reached and we will return your call within 12 business hours.

Shipping Policies

Kishwaukee College Bookstore is proud to offer you the most competitive shipping rates. All of our shipments are professionally packed to ensure the safety of your items in route.

On average, your order will be received in 7 - 10 working days. During August or December, delivery time may take longer.

Return

Original receipt is required for all refunds and exchanges. We may also need to see your class schedule to verify your session. 

Full refunds on textbooks will be offered as follows:

16 week sessions     First 10 business days of the session  (Class Schedule required to verify your session dates)

4-8 week sessions   First 5 business days of the session  (Class Schedule required to verify your session dates)

Shrink-wrapped bundles may not qualify for a full refund.  Books must be in the original re-saleable condition. 

To be eligible for a full refund, textbooks that were shipped to you  must be in their original condition and must be returned with all pieces from the original shipment intact. (Do not remove shrink wrap from product that is to be returned.) Please check packing list for return address information.  The original shipping charges will not be refunded unless the return is due to Bookstore error or change in the status of your class.   

General merchandise refunds and exchanges must be made within 10 business days of the purchase with the original receipt and items must be in their original condition.

There will be no refunds on electronics.  Defective calculators, earbuds, headphones, recorders, and cameras will be replaced only if returned within 10 business days of the original sale with receipt. 

We do not handle returns or repairs on defective laptops or any other electronics.  The warranty on these products is through the manufacturer and items must be returned to them.  The manufacturer will also require your sales receipt.    Normal wear & tear, abuse/neglect/mishandling or alterations are not considered defects.  All products must be in the original condition.

All refunds will be made in the same manner as the sale was originally tendered.
